The past can no longer hurt you unless you let it

“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.” - Mahatma Gandhi

I am not the type of person who holds grudges in my heart. I find it very easy to forgive and forget. (Lalo na pag nakaganti na ako sa taong nag-maldita sa akin!) Maybe because it has always been my choice to focus on the good things instead of the bad. Life is too short. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life begrudging someone.

A friend told me recently that she has already forgiven her ex-boyfriend for all the bad things he did to her. But she didn’t want to be friends with him because she’s still hurt. I got confused and asked her, “How can you say that you’ve already forgiven him if you’re still hurting?” I told her that the only time she can truly say she had forgiven him is when bad memories don’t have the power to hurt her at present anymore. I mean, it’s okay not be friends if it is her choice. But to still get hurt for something that happened a long time ago is something else. Then I added, “The past can no longer hurt you unless you let it.”

She smiled and ended our conversation by saying, “Alright then. Maybe I haven’t forgiven him completely.” I shook my head and we both burst out laughing. I didn’t tell her that memories of my stupid ex started running through my head as we talked.

Kidding aside, it’s been a while the last time I hated someone. In all honesty, it was an awful feeling knowing that there’s someone out there keeping the same hatred towards you. But at the end of the day, you’ll realize that nobody wins. Both parties only get hurt in the end.

That’s why I stopped hating people since then. As a result, good things started happening in my life. Everything has fallen into its proper place. Everything is in perfect harmony.:music: I have been at peace with myself more than ever. Indeed, living well is the best revenge!

I have come to realize that hatred is just a waste of time and energy. After all, “Nobody can hurt me without my permission…”

I guess part of life is learning how to put the past behind us. And whether we like it or not, we will always come across people who are capable of hurting us one way or another. But never ever allow bitterness, anger, hurt and anxiety to keep us from moving forward. Remember that whatever we do or feel at present affects our future. :04:

So let’s all be happy. Cheers!:soda:

Just a thought

Have you ever tried taking a diet pill all your life? If so, were you happy with the result? Or what you got was just nothing but mere discomfort because you had to go to the bathroom all the time? I actually hear people taking a diet pill complain about it all the time — which is kinda scary.

There are tons of diet pills available in the market today. There’s Alli, Xenical, what-have-yous. But the truth is, you won’t really know which one is going to work best for you unless you try the product yourself. Reading testimonials about any product can really help you a lot. But still, just because a product works for other people does not necessarily mean it will also work for you, right?

So there. It’s up for you to take a chance.

Foreclosure help?

What is Foreclosure?

In layman’s term, foreclosure means to shut out, to bar, to extinguish a mortgagor’s right of redeeming a mortgaged estate. It is a termination of all rights of the homeowner covered by a mortgage. Foreclosure is a process in which the estate becomes the absolute property of the lending institution.

So if you’re receiving threatening letters from your mortgage company and your debt is bigger than your income, seeking a foreclosure help is what you need. Visit StopMyForeclosure.Net for more information.

Stop your foreclosure immediately and save your home! There are several different options you may not be aware of that can get you out of it.

So what?!

Valentine’s Day has always been just an ordinary day for me. Over the years, my point of view about it hasn’t changed — it is just an ordinary day. Period. No erase. LOL. :-)

Not that I am not romantic or anything. But I just don’t see the reason why others have to be sad when they don’t have a boyfriend or a special someone to spend it with. I mean, what’s the big fuss about not having a date? Valentine’s Day is not just merely for lovers. Let us not forget that we can also celebrate the occasion — if you’re the type who does — with our respective families.

So you might wanna know if I received any flowers from my husband?

The answer is a resounding NO. Because I was the one who told him to stop giving me flowers for practical reasons. Not that I don’t like flowers. As a matter of fact, I am quite amazed with how lovely they are. But the truth is, they don’t last very long. They wither. They die. And when they do, your hard-earned money dies with them too. Chocolates and cards are much better.

Anyway, Leo and I met up at SM Megamall after our shift to watch My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend. He wanted to see Jumper coz he does not like tagalog movies. Errr — I don’t understand men. They always claim they don’t like tagalog movies! But deep inside they do. They just don’t wanna admit it. Hahaha! Weird.

Going back to the movie, I did like the story. It’s really funny (especially Marian Rivera and the way she acts). There are scenes that made me cry too. Nakakakilig. Sobraaa! Oh well, just watch it and it’ll be worth your time and money. The last tagalog movie that I saw was that of Richard’s too (Let the love begin ata yun — with Angel Locsin). And in fairness, magaganda movies nya ha!

REWIND: Before meeting my husband at SM Megamall, I went to Mandaluyong, where my parents live, for a quick visit (Ooopps! Talk about about someone who doesn’t celebrate Valentine’s! LOL). On my way there, I saw a Mr. Donuts booth and saw this cute promo that they have for Valentine’s. It’s a small box of freshly baked donuts wrapped in a plastic with ribbons, teddy bear and a heart-shaped balloon inside. I bought one for my mom. Sayang di ko na-picturan. Na-bad trip kasi ako dahil nilipad ng hangin yung balloon while I was riding the tricycle. Grrr…Ang cute pa naman. Sayang.
