He answered, “Kinurot po ako ni yaya sa school…kasi makulit po ako.” . Then he pointed to the bruises on his legs.

I was torn apart. I asked the nanny if it’s true, but she denied it. KINAGAT LANG DAW NG LANGGAM SI GREG! Ginawa pa akong tanga ng bruhang yaya.

I tried to be as calm as I could and went inside the room to wake up my husband. I burst into tears and narrated what I had just found out. I asked him to give the nanny her two-week salary and kick her out right away. When my husband confronted her, she admitted what she did.

“Oo kinurot ko sya! Makulit kasi sya sa school. Tayo ng tayo!” She said arrogantly.

I was shocked by her statement and couldn’t say a word. There wasn’t any sense of remorse in her voice. She left the house without an apology. And I felt so stupid for letting her get away with it. I knew in my heart that I should’ve at least said or done something to appease the pain she had caused my son. But I guess I was too hurt to say a word.

What gives a nanny the right to hurt the child she’s supposed to care about?! Tell me. :stubborn:

It’s been almost a week since we discovered that my son’s new nanny had been hurting him while my husband and I were at work. She’d been with us for only two weeks for crying out loud! She was my kumare’s niece, who happens to live infront of our house. So how could she have done such a thing? I couldn’t believe it.

On her first day, I already had a hunch that she didn’t like kids very much. That she just accepted the job because of the salary we offered. From the very start, I knew she wasn’t the kind of nanny that any parents would entrust their child with. That’s why I told my husband that I’d change my work schedule from graveyard to morning shift so I could observe her. I knew I couldn’t leave my son with her alone at night. And true enough, I saw how apathetic she was with my son each day. She would only attend to his needs whenever I told her to. She only cared about the household chores and once she’s done, she would just go to her room and lock herself up. She wouldn’t help me at all and most of the time, she slept earlier than my son did. Oh what a nanny!

For now, I have no plans of getting another nanny. I am still hurt and traumatized of what had happened. I am so scared. Greggy is now staying at his grandma’s house. It’s hard, but that’s only way to keep him safe.

He’s in nursery now and I’m glad he’s able to keep up with his classmates despite being the youngest. I enrolled him at a small kiddie center in our neighborhood. They’re just seven in the class which is a good thing. It was too crowded at the Day Care where he had a summer class so I didn’t enroll him there anymore. :hearty:

Should I organize a kiddie party so all our relatives and friends can attend or should I just take him and his daddy to Bohol for a 5-day trip? Please help me decide! I know it’ll be more expensive if we stay in Bohol but the thought of spending some quality time with my family is really tempting! So if I were you, what would you rather do?

We already celebrated it yesterday. We watched Kungfu Panda and had lunch @ SM Megamall after work. My husband and I decided not to join our yearly company outing in Subic just to be with our son.

Anyway, my mom-in-law took us out for lunch at Pizza Company then we headed to the theater to watch the Iron man afterwards. To be honest, I didn’t not expect the movie to be that wonderful. The effects are mind-blowing that it made my jaw lock in awe. Astig! Panoorin nyo rin!

Anyway, this is the conversation that I had with my son when I arrived at my in-law’s house (from work) this morning.

Me: Baby, did you take a bath already?
Greggy: Take a bath with ate Jessie…(referring to my mom-in-law’s helper)
Me: With ate Jessie? Why? Where’s your yaya?
Greggy: Go home…
Me: Where’s your daddy?
Greggy: office…

Hahaha. Sa totoo lang, nakakatuwa kausap ang anak ko. He’s only two years old and yet his eloquence is very admirable. He enunciates very clearly and pronounces letters v, f and th perfectly. He knows a lot of words, phrases and sentences now — be it in tagalog or english. He’s also a great translator I must say. Everytime he speaks tagalog, we would always say “WHAT?!” (pretending we did not understand him). Then he’ll translate what he just said in english. LOL.

By the way, here are some of the photos we took when we went to Serendra last month. I forgot to post them before.

On our way there, I took some pictures of my super kulit na baby… I told him: “Show me your perfect teeth, baby Greggy!” Then he smiled like this… Ang arte di ba?

After eating, we took him to the playground. He wanted to try all the slides! (even the tallest ones!Hahaha!) He’s so happy. Here’s one of the videos that I took using my cellphone. Tuwang-tuwa ako sa video na ito kasi ang taas ng slide pero keri nya. LOL. He was with his yaya but she released him from the very top so he just slid all the way down alone.
